1. Study in India
  2. On Campus

On Campus Programs

Full-time degrees and diplomas in health sciences, agriculture, teaching, design, arts, science, commerce and more, at recognised universities across India.

Twelve disciplines, one page

An on-campus programme means regular, full-time study with classroom teaching, laboratories, clinical or field training and campus life. For professional degrees in health, teaching and architecture it is the only recognised way to qualify.

For each discipline below you will find the courses on offer, how long they take, who can apply, which body regulates them and how admission works. Use it to narrow your choices, then talk to us about colleges.

Ph.D. and research degrees

Doctoral study is available in every discipline on this page, in full-time and part-time formats, for candidates who hold the relevant master's degree. Because eligibility, entrance tests and supervision work differently from taught courses, research programmes have a page of their own.

Questions students ask us

Which of these courses need a NEET score?

B.A.M.S., B.H.M.S., B.U.M.S., B.S.M.S. and B.V.Sc. & A.H. are filled through NEET-UG. Physiotherapy and occupational therapy move to NEET-based admission from the 2027-28 session. Pharmacy, most nursing admissions and other allied health courses do not need NEET, though some states use it for B.Sc. Nursing.

I did not take science in Class 12. What can I study?

Plenty. B.A., B.Com., B.B.A., B.C.A., B.Des., hotel management, journalism, social work, the integrated law degrees and D.El.Ed. are open to students from any stream. Health science, agriculture, pharmacy and most engineering degrees need science subjects.

What is the difference between a three-year and a four-year degree?

Under the national education policy, many universities now offer B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. and similar degrees as four-year programmes with an honours or research year at the end. You can normally leave after three years with a regular degree. A four-year degree can shorten a later master's or B.Ed.

Can I study these courses online or by distance instead?

Degrees that involve clinical, laboratory or teaching practice, such as nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, AYUSH, veterinary science, architecture and B.Ed., must be studied on campus. General degrees such as B.A., B.Com., B.B.A., B.C.A. and their master's are also available online and through distance learning; see our Study in India page for those options.

How do I know a college is properly approved?

Every professional course has a regulator, listed beside each discipline on this page. Before you apply we check that the university is recognised and that the specific course holds approval from the right council for the current year.
