Revamp Consultancy is a private consultancy. It guides and introduces. It does not teach degree courses, award qualifications, recruit for employers or decide visas.

Who we are

Revamp Consultancy, legally known as ODL Academy, is a privately operated career and education consultancy. We guide students and professionals in areas such as admission support, study abroad, career counselling, job placement advice and other education-related matters.

We are not an educational institution

We do not conduct, offer or run any academic programme, whether degree, diploma or certificate, that is recognised by a statutory authority governing higher education in India. Revamp Consultancy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or accredited by any university, college or government body.

Our role is to facilitate

Our role is strictly facilitative. We connect clients with universities, educational institutions, edtech platforms, placement service providers and potential employers. Our service ends with that introduction.

We do not issue, authenticate or confer any academic qualification. Every degree, diploma or certificate earned through an institution we introduce you to is granted directly by that institution.

Preparatory classes and short courses

We conduct preparatory classes for examinations such as GRE, GMAT, SAT, IELTS, TOEFL, OET, DELF and Goethe-Zertifikat. We also offer short-term courses, bootcamps and masterclasses, independently or in partnership with other institutions or organisations.

These programmes build skills and knowledge for personal or professional development. Participants receive a Course Completion Certificate or a Certificate of Participation. Neither is equivalent to a formal academic qualification or a government-recognised qualification.

Work and internships abroad

Revamp Consultancy is not a recruiting agent under the Emigration Act, 1983, and does not recruit for overseas employment. Where recruitment or placement forms part of your route, it is carried out by recruiting agents registered with the Ministry of External Affairs, by licensed consultants abroad, or by recognised placement and sponsor organisations. We introduce you to them.

No guarantee of any outcome

We do not guarantee admission, scholarships, bank loans, visas, job placements, internships, test scores or any other specific outcome. These are decided by third parties, and we have no influence over their decisions.

Accuracy of information

We aim to provide accurate and current information, on this website and in person. We do not warrant that any content or advice is complete, accurate or reliable. Academic policies, admission criteria, fees, visa rules and institutional decisions change independently and are beyond our control.

We strongly encourage you to carry out your own checks with the institution or authority concerned before you apply, enrol, pay or make any decision based on our guidance.

Names and links

Names of universities, examinations, companies and other organisations appear on this website only to identify them. They belong to their respective owners. Links to other websites are given for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law permits, Revamp Consultancy shall not be held liable for any loss, delay or consequence resulting from action taken on the basis of the information or services we provide.

Cancellation Policy

You may stop using our service whenever you wish. What this policy explains is what can and cannot be cancelled once a service has been delivered, or once another organisation is involved.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the consultancy service of Revamp Consultancy and to the preparatory classes and short courses we conduct. It does not apply to any service, seat, booking or payment made with another organisation.

Withdrawing from our consultancy service

You may withdraw at any time by writing to us. Our consultancy fee is invoiced only after the service has been delivered. Once a service has been delivered and invoiced, it cannot be cancelled and the fee is payable.

Appointments

If you cannot keep a counselling appointment, please tell us as early as you can. We will arrange another time.

Preparatory classes and short courses

The fee, the schedule and any cancellation terms for a class or course are given to you in writing when you enrol. Unless those terms say otherwise, an enrolment cannot be cancelled, or transferred to another person, once the class or course has begun.

Applications, admissions and placements with others

After we have introduced you to a university, institution, edtech partner, placement service provider, recruiting agent or any other organisation, your dealings with it are between you and that organisation. This includes any application, admission, seat, test booking, placement, visa application, ticket or insurance.

Cancellation of any of these is governed by that organisation's own policy. We cannot cancel them for you, and we cannot obtain a refund from them on your behalf.

When we may end the service

We may decline to begin a service, or stop one, if:

• information or documents given to us appear to be false, forged or misleading;
• we are asked to do something unlawful or dishonest;
• our staff are treated in an abusive or threatening way; or
• we are unable to help for reasons outside our reasonable control.

A fee already invoiced for a service that has been delivered remains payable.

How to cancel

Write to info@revampconsultancy.com with your full name and the phone number you registered with us. A cancellation takes effect when we receive it.

Refund Policy

The consultancy fee is charged after the service has been delivered. For that reason it is not refundable.

The fee is non-refundable

The consultancy fee collected by Revamp Consultancy (ODL Academy) is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.

When the fee is charged

An invoice is raised, and the fee is collected, only after the consultancy service has been delivered to you. The fee does not include Goods and Services Tax (GST). GST is charged extra, at the rate that applies.

Payment confirms that the service was delivered

By making the payment, you confirm that you have received the intended service and are satisfied with the assistance provided. Accordingly, no request for a refund or cancellation will be entertained after payment.

What our responsibility covers

Our responsibility ends with offering expert advice and admission guidance and, where applicable, introducing you to the relevant university, institution, consultant, company, edtech partner or placement service provider.

We do not guarantee admission offers, scholarships, bank loans, visas, job placements or any specific outcome, and we have no influence over the decisions of third-party institutions or organisations. A decision by any of them that you did not hope for is not a ground for a refund.

We are not an institution

We are not a college, university or statutory education authority, and we are not authorised to offer academic courses leading to degrees or diplomas. Revamp Consultancy operates solely as a private advisory service provider.

Preparatory courses and workshops

In addition to counselling, we conduct skill-enhancing preparatory courses, workshops, bootcamps and masterclasses, independently or with institutional partners. These award only a Course Completion Certificate or a Certificate of Participation, which is not a substitute for a recognised academic credential. Cancellation of an enrolment is covered by the Cancellation Policy.

Payments made to others

Any amount you pay to a university, institution, test body, embassy, partner or other organisation is not held by us. Whether it can be refunded is decided by that organisation under its own policy.

Payment errors

If an amount is debited twice, or in excess of the invoice, because of a technical or clerical error, write to us with proof of payment. The excess will be returned after verification. Correcting such an error is not a refund of the consultancy fee.

Your rights under the law

Nothing in this policy takes away a right that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Acceptance

Please read and understand our terms before making any payment. By proceeding with payment, you fully acknowledge and accept this policy, and confirm that the services have been delivered as agreed.

We collect only what we need to guide you, we share it only to take your application forward, and we do not sell it.

Who is responsible for your information

ODL Academy, trading as Revamp Consultancy, decides how and why your personal information is used. "We", "us" and "our" in this policy mean Revamp Consultancy. This policy applies to information we collect through this website, by phone, by email, by messaging apps and at our office.

What we collect

• Identity and contact details: name, parents' names, date of birth, gender, nationality, address, phone number and email address.
• Details an admission form asks for: Aadhaar number, passport number, mother tongue, religion and community, and academic identity numbers such as an ABC ID or DEB ID. We ask for these only where the institution or authority concerned requires them.
• Education and work details: qualifications, marks, institutions attended, test scores, employment history and career goals.
• Documents you give us: mark sheets, certificates, transfer certificate, Aadhaar card, passport copy, photograph, signature, CV and similar papers.
• Financial details you choose to share: for example, your budget, or papers needed for a loan or a visa file.
• Stories and photographs that you submit for publication on this website.
• Technical information: the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and similar data recorded by our hosting service.

How we use it

• To understand your profile and give you advice.
• To check your eligibility for a course, an institution or a route.
• To introduce you to a university, institution, edtech partner, placement service provider or licensed agent, at your request.
• To contact you about your enquiry or application.
• To publish your story, name and photograph, where you have asked us to.
• To keep records, raise invoices and meet our legal and tax obligations.

Your consent

We process your personal information with your consent, and for the lawful purposes for which you have given it to us. You give this consent when you submit a form on this website, sign our application form, or hand us your documents. You may withdraw it at any time, as explained below. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue with your application.

Who we share it with

We share your information only as far as your application needs, and only with:

• the universities, colleges, boards and institutions you wish to apply to;
• edtech partners, placement service providers, licensed recruiting agents, sponsor organisations and consultants who take your application forward;
• service providers who help us run our office and website, such as hosting, email and messaging services; and
• government or legal authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Transfers outside India

If you apply to an institution, employer or partner in another country, your information will be sent to that country so that your application can be considered. Their handling of it is governed by their own policies and local law.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as it is needed for the service you asked for, and after that for as long as the law requires us to keep business, tax and accounting records. It is then deleted or made anonymous.

How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

Your rights

Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you may ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct or update it;
• erase it, where we are not required by law to keep it;
• stop using it, by withdrawing your consent; and
• record a person you nominate to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Write to the Grievance Officer at the address below. We may need to confirm your identity first.

Children

If you are under 18, please use this website and our services with a parent or guardian. We ask for a parent's or guardian's consent before we process a child's personal information.

Stories and photographs

A story you submit is published with your name, your photograph if you add one, and the course and institution details you enter. Your phone number or email address is not published. You may ask us to correct or remove your story at any time.

Cookies and browser storage

This website stores a small amount of information in your own browser so that its forms work properly, for example to keep a draft you have started. It does not use this to identify you on other websites. You can clear it at any time from your browser's settings.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Continued use of this website or our services after a change means you accept the revised policy.

Agreement

By using this website, submitting a form, attending a counselling session or making a payment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, the Disclaimer, the Cancellation Policy, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or our services.

Our services

We provide consultancy only: counselling, guidance, preparation and, where applicable, an introduction to a university, institution, edtech partner, placement service provider, recruiting agent or other organisation. Our service is complete when that introduction has been made.

We also conduct preparatory classes and short courses, which end with a Course Completion Certificate or a Certificate of Participation.

No guarantee

We do not guarantee admission, scholarships, loans, visas, employment, internships, test scores or any other outcome. These are decided by third parties over whom we have no control.

Your responsibilities

• Give us information that is true, complete and current.
• Give us only documents that are genuine and your own.
• Meet the deadlines we, or the institutions concerned, tell you about.
• Check important facts with the institution or authority concerned before you decide.
• Make your own decisions. Our advice is guidance, and the final choice is yours.

Third parties

Any organisation we introduce you to is independent of us. Your application, admission, enrolment, employment or placement with it is a separate arrangement between you and that organisation, on its own terms and at its own fees. We are not a party to that arrangement, and we are not responsible for its acts, omissions, decisions, delays or policies.

Fees and payment

Our consultancy fee is invoiced after the service has been delivered. GST is extra, at the rate that applies. The fee is payable on invoice and is non-refundable, as set out in the Refund Policy. Fees charged by third parties are separate and are not part of our fee.

Work and internships abroad

We are not a recruiting agent and do not recruit for overseas employment. Recruitment and placement are carried out by registered or licensed third parties. You should verify their registration or licence yourself before you proceed with them.

Using this website

The content of this website is general information and is not professional, legal, immigration or financial advice for your particular case. The text, design and graphics belong to Revamp Consultancy or its licensors. You may view and print pages for your personal use. You may not copy, republish or use them commercially without our written permission, and you may not misuse the website or interfere with its working.

Stories, photographs and other content you submit

When you submit a story, photograph or other content, you confirm that it is your own, that it is truthful, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. You give us permission to publish it on this website and in our communications, free of charge. We may decline to publish, shorten or remove any submission. We will remove yours when you ask us to.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a decision of a third party, a change in rules or fees, or information you gave us that was inaccurate. Our total liability to you in connection with our services will not exceed the consultancy fee you have paid to us.

False information

If you give us information or documents that are false or forged, you are responsible for any loss, claim or cost that results, to us or to anyone else, and we may end the service at once.

We may revise these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. The version on this page at the time you use our services is the one that applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Puducherry have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
